This purchase was not without it's issues:-
- There were problems with the land registration of the house I was buying.
- It was a particularly long chain with 7 parties involved.
- Some of the other agents and solicitors further up the line, demonstrated a distinct lack of urgency.
- I don't live in the UK, making communication and chasing things up more difficult.
So this had all the ingredients for a potential disaster and had it not been for Mark's professionalism and persistence, I'm sure the chain would have collapsed.
In the end, it took 6 months to get from offer to completion, but Mark remained on top of the situation at all times and provided me with weekly updates - even when there was nothing new to report. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he always responded to any questions I had promptly and efficiently.
I have bought and sold many properties in my 63 years but I can honestly say that the service I received from this agent was in a class of it's own. Despite the fact that this was a fairly inexpensive house and so would not be generating a large commission, he made me feel like a highly valued customer and in this day and age, that is worth it's weight in Gold.
