We viewed the property with Amy for our first big joint purchase. A massive decision! Amy told us so many great things about the property. The builders were full refurbishing these house and taking requests. They would knock down walls that you wanted taken down, re point the bricks outside, new fences, carpets, kitchen bathrooms etc etc ! Well most of that was a lie. We told her we wanted to put a porch on and do a few other bits and she thought it sounded good. Asking if they would except offers she said no one had been putting offers in only asking price and they had nearly all sold. Well she clearly lives in la la land. After putting an asking price offer in having been offered the world. It was a party refurbed house, hardly any of the boys done that we wanted oh and to top it off a long list of clauses we had to sign (after already paying a lot of money for searches) including not selling the house for 7 years! Why would anyway put an asking price offer in with a clause like that?
The sale was full of lies and no transparency and after that the only contact we had with Amy was about possible changes where she was rude and in helpful and then no contact at all for a few months. The next contact I had was with Helen threatening of the sale of our house didn't speed up then we would lose the house. Helen tried to help but couldn't really cope with her workload and was slow at getting back to us and if we pushed her she was rude. We asked her to put things to the sellers as we had no contact with them and answers were generally they will just say no, so it wasn't put to them.
Having moved in to a pretty dead road with not many neighbours (as they clearly aren't going quickly) we have had problem after problem with the property. Again no contact details of the seller I have had to go through Helen to make contact re defects. So this was done over a month ago and the four others who have moved in are having that same problems even though Helen said they weren't! I have chased Helen got a response and she just says I will let you know when they respond. Clearly she hasn't chased them in a month. I guess once they have sold the property they dont care. So to sum up, rude, unprofessional, don't buy a house through them and don't by in the Halstead development without checking every small bit of the contract and building first because they will not help you after.
