Get the feeling that some of the good reviews on here are fakes. Perhaps Purple Frog are good to Landlords but as a tenant I have repeatedly found the customer service to be absolutely terrible. It seems they have been trained to just agree to everything and give vague answers to get you off the phone, and they then proceed to do nothing about your query. It is difficult to get the same person on the phone twice and very clear that staff do not communicate with eachother, so I have had to repeat myself so many times when trying to get them to respond. The company was also very cheeky regarding the charges levied for 'damages' at the end of the tenancy, seeming to blindly make up charges, wait for us to notice and then deduct them without any explanation. I have been waiting since the end of July (Its now December) to get back my deposit and a month's overpaid rent- every person I get on the phone has a different story or some new way to delay it- asking me to send in documents that they must surely have in their own records. I feel that the staff are well meaning but have had no training and so just tend to add to confusion. I would not recommend this company- they have a strong presence in the student area but I think they take the laid back image as an excuse to give awful customer service and to be unprofessional.

I'm not aware of any positive reviews on this site to be fake.
I'm sorry you've not been happy with the service you've received. We have recently started making the direct phone numbers available for members of our team so that you can reach an individual directly if they are available. We ask that you provide proof that you have paid your bills and dealt with your council tax at the end of your tenancy before deposits are returned; this is in accordance with the tenancy agreement and is done to make sure you have met your legal obligations as a tenant and so that future tenants don't end up having debt collectors visit the properties in relation to debts accrued by previous tenants. If you would like to discuss your case further please contact me directly on 07817 793 828 or email [email protected].
Kind Regards
Patrick
