Yes these guys come across as very friendly and polite but act with cautious when dealing with this estate agent. We made an offer on a property which got accepted only to later find out that we were used as an insurance policy and the sale of the property was always going ahead with another buyer. We paid solicitors/mortgage fees and in the last minute just before the survey was due to take place, we were told that apparently the vendor has decided to take the property off the market which was not true as there was a 'sold' sign board outside the property. After speaking to the seller, the seller confirmed that the property was always being sold to another person. Chris Marsh came across as a gentlemen and professional person, but little did we know that behind our back they had other plans. David Sipple was also aware of what was going on and as the branch manager should have taken responsibility and acted with integrity when dealing with this situation, but then again we should have known that these are estate agent salesmen we are dealing with who will try and make a sale at all cost. Would not recommend anyone to use these guys either for sales or lettings.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Appreciate the fact that Matthew Sayer looked into this but David Sipple was aware from the beginning and could have handled this better and not put us in this position.
