The staff, Louise the manager, Amie and Chanel were always very polite and courteous and couldn't do enough for us, they always answered any questions put to them and if they didn't know they would get back to us with the answer. The staff were very good. I have two complaints. Firstly the time it took to complete the sale of the house; it's taken nearly 6 months because the first time buyer was delayed for a number of reasons. Beresford Adams should not have accepted an offer without knowing what paper work was needed besides the mortgage offer in principal. It was a lack of experience in my opinion,this should have been explained to other people in the chain to see if we were all willing to agree in principal. We, and the people who were buying our house have been ready to exchange since the end of September. The second complaint is that a house we were buying had a 100% retention put on the mortgage that Louise and Roger (mortgage) advisor saw, read and complained to Santander for issuing the mortgage. After the house sale collapsed we were instructed that we would have to pay for searches again, £350. We were told by Bresreford Adams that we would not have to pay again as a 100% retention was put on the mortgage and was not our fault so we would not have to pay for searches but solicitors instructed us that we had to, very much to our disappointment and reluctance, we paid. We didn't have this extra money and had to borrow to make progress in the purchase of our new house.

Admin fee is overrated just to print off something on some paper I could have done it myself for less than ‚£10 I understanddthat it has to be paid for but ink and paper does not cost over ‚£200.
