Donald Ross Estate Agents and Valuers must be the most out of touch in Ayrshire.
They sent an agent out to value our property which is 2 years old and he told me it wasn't worth the money we paid for it.
Purchased for £111,500 at the end of the property slump in 2013 he said it was worth £110,000 which is ridiculous considering the extras that were put into the property on and after the purchase.
I told the gentleman that he was way off track , he then came back with the figure of £112,000 and said that he might be able to adjust that figure up to £115,000 max.
I'm sorry but I asked him to go back to his office and speak to his Boss, I said ask him to ask his Boss if he would market the property at £120,000 and then come back to me and we could do some business.
He never got back to me......................
I have since had an independent Surveyor value the property and guess what the valuation was.........£125,000....................Now if Donald Ross was such a good Estate Agent why did they not come up with that figure in the first place..................All they want is for you to accept the lowest figure so that your property will sell quickly and they then come in and take their percentage of the sale price......... Good Game! ( NOT )................We actually bought the said property through Donald Ross in the first instance so that was one of the reasons we went back to them when we decided to sell................
Would I use them or recommend them to anyone...............NO I WOULD NOT.

we have spent the last 7 weeks being misled on the price and how quickly our home would sell after asking for cash buyers we got none only people with mortgage in principle after asking to speak to jacqueline they said if you want to cancel your sale then email them , no mention of £500 but having said earlier that it is a fee to cancel then they put the phone down now left in limbo after they told us to view and make an offer on our next house :( ...
