The initial contact with Gascoigne Pees was very good. Craig spent time with me discussing the selling process and the current property market. I was pleased with the pictures and the glossy brochure produced for our property. The details went onto rightmove quickly once we gave the go ahead to sell. I was also pleased that we were not pressurised into selling with Gascoigne pees considering I contacted a number of local estate agents and was bombarded with calls from others.
I think the cost of selling is high considering the market at the moment is buoyant and most properties fly off the market. I also think the price is high considering the rise in online estate agents such as purple bricks. Our property pretty much sold itself so paying over £3,000 I feel is very high.

I would have preferred to have dealt with the same agent throughout the sell. Saying that everyone I spoke to at Gascoigne Pees was pleasant and was able to answer my questions.

Comment on agent fees
I know we paid below average compared to the rest of the country. (But London has crazy rates!) but I still feel it was a lot of money to pay. The house sold in under a week so really once the offer has been accepted what else do the agents have to do. (I'm sorry if that sounds like I am undermining estate agents) our solicitor has done a great deal of work for us and their fee was the same amount as the estate agents.
