These agents were lovely... When we were prospective tenants..! As soon as we told them we were moving due to damp in the property, they dropped all contact and even had the cheek to get annoyed when we refused a viewing with only 3 hours notice (baring in mind they must give at least 24hrs!) No one contacted to let us know the check out process so we had to contact them - then were told "I don't deal with that, I'll get the person that does to call you back". Two days later (2 days before leaving) I had to call them again, only to be told that they don't manage the property and we'd have to arrange with the Landlord, who was worryingly incompetent. We essentially paid £400 agency fees for them to hand us a bit of paper and give us the keys when we moved in. We ended up moving out before the tenancy ended but paid up to the end of the contract (as was cheaper than leaving contact early). The Landlord must have told them we were no longer in the property as we know for a fact they have been in since to take photos. Technically, due to the £400 piece of paper, they should still be asking our permission to enter the property, as the contract is still in effect. I suppose they are typical estate agents, but they really don't even care about their own terms and conditions and will get obviously angry when you don't do what they want!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Actually adhere to the contract and reduce their fees considering they really don't seem to do much to earn them!

Comment on agent fees
Too expensive considering they do nothing
