The worse company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We were informed on viewing the property we would have allocated parking only to be told on the day we moved in that the parking space was not available! Due to a private electronic gate and not being provided with a key fob, we were told to 'ask a neighbour' every time we wanted to enter or leave the property by car! It was obvious that this was a quick deal as the property was filthy when we moved in and we were informed by neighbours that the previous tenant had done a runner.
We then informed Streets Ahead that the extractor fan in our windowless bathroom was broken in March and after countless chasing and failure to update/return calls, this was properly fixed in the October! All those months with no fan and a bathroom full of mould!! After making a complaint, we were then handed our two month notice to vacate meaning we had to move out over Christmas. It was agreed we could leave two weeks early and we were told to pay the full rent amount and the two weeks would be refunded - the full amount was paid to the Landlord and was eventually refunded to us approx. 6 weeks later after more countless chasing! We were then informed the Landlord wanted to deduct from the deposit but both he and Streets Ahead failed to determine the reasons in writing, again after countless chasing and going round and round in circles we started a case with the TDS. The landlord wanted to claim more than the deposit for decorating, a new door and a new carpet. Thankfully the TDS sided in our favour and we received the full deposit. I'll be glad to never have to deal with this company and their terrible customer service ever again. The undue stress we had to endure throughout our whole tenancy and after until we received our deposit was totally unnecessary and I would not wish the same on anyone.
