I have been with Manning Stainton for two lettings now on my property but I am officially fed up and angry now. It has become too big a company and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. The final straw was being invoiced for £160 for smoke alarms I did not need or authorize. I never know who I am supposed to speak to, they have so many departments and offices. You email or leave messages and you end up chasing them to find out what is going on all the time. As a landlord I want one point of contact for everything and expect responses and actions done as requested. I live away from the area and pay the management fee each month and expect the property to be managed. Example being I needed the boiler to be serviced and I ended up chasing for months to get this done and finally it was left to me once the property was empty again to sort 4 months later. When the last tenants left in September there were issues of damage which were not picked up on the final inspection and several weeks later I am still waiting to hear back on that outcome. The only ray of hope at Manning for me are Deborah and Kimberley in the Morley lettings office who have helped with the latest tenant move in. They have been fabulous at sorting out last minute issues. If only all the staff could be as efficient as them.
I may only have one property to rent out but it should not matter who you are, all clients should be important to your business and valued as a customer.
What agent could do to change your mind?
What could be improved? Staff members who get back to me would be a start. Not invoicing me for ‚£160 for something I didn't ask for maybe, and getting back to me promptly to sort this error out would be greatly appreciated.
