This review goes for all Dexters to be honest, but mainly the chiswick branch. I find that with the likes of Dexters, Foxtons, Haart and so on the running theme is dishonesty and a total lack of people skills. It's as if they literally discard their humanity while at work and choose to act like savages. I often found they would take me to places above my price range, and I see this as a tactic to make you fall in love with somewhere you can't afford and get you to spend a bit more, without them caring that it will mean you'll have to live on Green eggs and ham as a result. They lied a lot, even about little things which was the most annoying e.g. what time they had to be at a property, claiming the property was far away from the office, so you must show up in order to not waste their time when in reality it's a 10min drive away. I was lied to and told the windows at the property I would live in would be double glaze, only for me to get there and it isn't.
They are all smiles and friendship when they are trying to get you to bid but once the paper work begins they become rude, pushy and extremely hostile, all the while threatening you with claims to put the place back on the market if you don't hurry up. It is definitely obvious that they don't care about YOU as a person, just their commission.
I tried looking with Dexters again once my tenancy was up, but I was already getting the same tell tale signs of bad behaviour, so I went with a lovely agency called Sargeants instead and found a lovely apartme t.
Despite what I think and my own experiences, Dexters and Foxtons are notorious for their bad behaviour, and I will never use them again. I have already warned everyone I know to steer clear!
