We are a group of four students and we were looking for a house to share. We found this really nice property letted by Citydeal and after viewing it two times in the same day (thursday) we decided to make an offer for the price they were asking for plus 3 months of deposit. It must be stated that the house was newly listed just one day before so we expected a bit of delay in the answer as the landlord probably wanted to do more viewings and as the agent we spoke to said it was going to take 24 hours at least to have a reply. 2 days after I called the agent and he said to me that he did not receive any answer yet and that he would call me on Monday. Monday evening I called him again since I did not get calls during the day and he said by Thursday I will let you know as the landlord is out of town and does not want to give an answer until he's back. Thursday evening I called him again and again I get the same reply I do not know yet but I will call you tomorrow morning as it is 50/50 with another offer, so I do not want to hold you if you need to find another place.... 7 days has gone by after that last call, we have found a place with another agency, still waiting for that guy to call. Now, I understand everything, literally everything that an agent goes through, but I do not excuse this behavior has if you tell someone "I am going to call you", you call them! even if its to give bad news. really fed up and unsatisfied! and they were going to charge us ‚£500 and more of agency fees!!
