Following our acceptance of an offer on the property the agency failed to communicate with us. After several weeks we discovered that the purchasers had encountered difficulties obtaining a mortgage but we were informed of this only when we insisted on an explanation for the delay.
There were some last minute difficulties concerning items not included in the sale of the house, at which point the agents applied pressure by phone and email to force the sale through. They created an erroneous document and sent it to our conveyancer, they failed to ensure that our conveyancer received the corrected version, refused to acknowledge they had made an error, and refused to accept any liability for any consequences of the error. It appeared that we ceased to be their client, and were simply an obstruction to them receiving their fees. Based on a deeply unpleasant experience, my recommendation would be to avoid dealing with this agency.
