I not only dealt with Richard Read, Kelly Davies, but also Andrew Davey. Our experience when using Pinnacle was an utter disgrace, when we viewed our flat it was a complete mess, but they assured us it was because of the tenants there at a time. We were charged a month and a half rent in January for deposit each, therefore, we gave them over a £1,000 to the landlord, that including Pinnacle's split, before we had even moved in. They also assured us that in July, we would only have to pay half rent, because they would be constantly in and out checking on the property, and fixing it up, to someone who is a 1st year student in a new city, this very settling, but it was all a lie. At the end of August, one of my flat mates, who lives only 2 hours from Cardiff, went to move into the property, he found the following problems: (baring in mind, they had supposedly cleaned and fixed everything in July, this is their standards)
1. Hallway and front garden filthy.
2. Wallpaper peeling in several rooms.
3. Hot tap constantly leaking, hard to operate.
4. Kitchen appliances, which we were told were going to be ours, were then said they are not included.
5. Waste waters comes up in the bath, when either sink is emptied (bathroom and kitchen sink).
6. Damp under the window, and the gas meter cupboard - baring in mind I was diagnosed with asthma at a young age.
7. White sofa absolutely filthy.
8. Mattresses were dirty, even one missing from a bed.

Some of these problems, the landlord and Pinnacle still refuse to fix, but they have fixed some of the issues.

My advice would be to not touch Pinnacle in any city of the United Kingdom, they know how to put fake smile on for a potential buyer or customer, but as soon as they have your signature, all care and consideration is abandoned.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Be human. Not lie. Not treat the students of Cardiff like we are absolutely stupid, immature and ignorant.

We are sorry that your experience with us hasn't been a positive one and that you feel like the property you moved in to wasn't up to an acceptable standard. Fees are dictated by the patterns of the student market it is normal for any fees and deposits to be paid in advance as the reserves the property for the summer tenancy start dates. Our maintenance department have worked hard and been in communication with you to rectify the issues you listed above. As you said in your review a lot of the issues have either been fixed or are in the process of being rectified. We are committed to working with our customers and want to ensure the remainder of your tenancy is a positive one; and maintaining regular contact with tenants to work towards an outcome all parties are happy with.

I raised my dispute on the 10th Aug. I never received a reply. I followed up via email on the 19/08/19, 27/08/19, & 04/09/19. This is a clear example of how your company runs - ensure it looks good from the outside! When processing deposits we are led by landlords and do follow the TDS guidelines and give all tenants the opportunity to dispute any charges that we put forward. We would never take any money from a tenants deposit until we come to a resolution. Unsure if it was Kelly, but a woman we spoke to was very rude and no help at all. We were understandably getting frustrated about not receiving our deposit back after 1 whole month, and this lady decided to be sarcastic and rude to us shifting the blame to someone else.
