Joke of a company. Problems started before we even moved in when they managed to loose the documents that said that we had paid in full our deposits and so instead we were being told we still owed this money. When we explained to them that this money had been paid they said they would look into it and left us in suspense over the next couple of weeks over what they thought we owed and what we needed to do next, admittedly once prompted they did eventually sort this out and managed to find that we had all paid our deposit in full. Moved into the house and it was a state, layers of grime around the house, chewing gum stuck to one of the cupboards, broken furniture, oven and fridge were dirty. Throughout our stay it wasn't possible to use the top of our cupboards due to the leavel of dirt and the dead bugs (way more than what possibly could have accumulated there over the summer months the house was ours but couldn't stay in it). Complaints were by in large ignored. During our tenacity had issues with the door to the point where it physically wouldn't open and due to no gate key the only way to leave the house was by climbing over the back gate. Took student digz weeks to sort this out. In our final weeks there we had a lovely (and I mean he was a genuinely nice guy) man come to check our fire alarms to be told that we had been living in a house with damaged/ broken fire alarms and that we would likely be charged for this even though we hadn't touch the alarms at any point during our stay and was instead the fault of a previous company that student digz had called in to fix the alarm following a fault caused by a black out in Swansea. To be told that not only had we been living in a house with fire alarms that had a fault but we might also be charged for them was astounding.

Other issues throughout our year with student digz but the final straw was when we moved out. Messaged to book an inspection as part of the leaving procedure but was ignored till weeks after we had moved out. When we finally got a reply they said they had done the inspection with none of us present and was charging us for the oven to be cleaned, though not happy we could deal with this. However we were then later contacted and told we actually were beings charged for the oven, cupboards and fridge to be professionally cleaned- all of which had been bleached and scrubbed before we left. Told we could come and clean but if our cleaning wasn't to their standard we would still be charged- communication was poor throughout from their side and we gave up taking the charges just to avoid them making up further charges to take from our deposits. Likewise very doubtful this money would actually be used to get the house clean considering the state we moved into. Very poor company and would highly recommend you avoid at all costs unless you want poor communication throughout your tennancy and then made up charges as your leaving gift. There are loads of better companies out there in Swansea, use one of them.

What agent could do to change your mind?
1. Had our property ready (ie cleaned, broken furniture replaced, walls repainted etc) to move in on the 1st September when our tenancy started. 2. When I moved in they should have listened to my problems, treated me with more respect and sorted them out as soon as possible. Especially things like the broken fire alarm and leak which is serious. 3. When they failed to sort the property out they should have not charged us full rent as the living standards are below poor.

I'm not involved with the agent or group but thought it helpful to point out that once a contract is signed, both parties are legally obliged to abide by it - regardless of when the tenancy starts. Putting a review of a company online is not cyber bullying. Standing orders are an instruction to the bank from the account holder, so money can only be sent. It was not taken. Standing order forms must be signed by the account holder for the bank to be able to set it up. Your bank can help y ...
