I have found Keatons to be difficult to get in contact with and even more difficult to get even the most simple of answers from. I am moving out of a property managed by them and had gone through the same process we had done in the past when a change of tennant was necessary. (Get the landlords permission, get the necessary forms from Keatons, new tennant returns forms and pays an admin fee) But for some reason it is now not possible. I have emails from Keatons telling me it is possible and was given the necessary paperwork, then suddenly without even taking the paper work back I get a 'Sorry we can't do it' No further explanation has been given, emails have gone unanswered for 2 weeks and counting now and phone messages are left unanswered. I'd expect at the very least someone from Keatons to engage with me and offer some form of explanation as to the mixed messages I received from them and also to help me explore any other solutions. Surely it is better for everyone that a tennant who can pay the rent is living there rather than one who can't?
If you like being ignored when experienceing financialy challenging times and dealing with companies who don't seem to have any desire to do their job properly then Keatons is definitely the right one for you, if however you prefer to deal with companies that have even a cursory grasp of customer service and doing the job they claim is their area of expertise, then I would look else where. I certainly won't be dealing with them ever again.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have actually answered my questions and engaged with me to help me find a solution to the problems I was having rather than just totally ignoring me and adding stress to what is an already stressful period. I don't think expecting the answer to 3 very simple questions should require 10+ emails to an increasingly large distribution list. But evidently it requires significantly more as I am still yet to receive a response. Sadly I am still waiting for some kind of response from Keatons as I am stuck in a situation I cannot afford and need to get resolved.
