Bad customer experience as renters.
We decided to take a small flat with mini bedroom and bath separated from the kitchen. What was the initial price has been increased of £ 65 per month to have a sofa and a plastic table with two chairs .... ok, we accepted it anyway.
The day we visited the property, we were told that we had only one day to decide and that we should also leave our debit card details, in case we decided to take the house in order to let them write down some docs.
The moment we accepted and communicated it via email, we were charged £ 600 without prior notice, to hold the house ..... WHAT ??????
Also:it has been proposed a 6 month contract with a one month notice to terminate the contract; at the end of the fifth months, we went to the agency to close the contract .. we were told that we could not give a single month but had to be 2 .... ok .....
In the middle of the contract, a pipe broke up and we stayed 10 days without water because, for a week, in the agency there was no one who could deal with this thing. Also, we were charged £ 340 for the plumber !! It should be payed by the landlord, not the tenant !!
Last but not least, at the end of the contract, they have charged a fee in addition fot two days of rent which they say we did not pay at the beginning of the contract, (THEY SAY!!) but we have given the authorization to charge 750, not 840! it means £ 90 more than expected and without a reason...
Agents terribly rude and unhelpful, the worst experience ever !! DO NOT GO THERE !! Avoid them !!!
