I have recently finished a tenancy with charles lb for a year and I can genuinely say they made last year one of theoretical years of my life.
I wont even mention how disgusting and poorly kept the house was when we moved in. The worst part was the service that Charles Lamb give. Firstly, they charged us a ridiculous deposit of £350 each (x5) which I fully hope to see every penny of. Secondly, they would constantly make errors on their 'system', it seems impossible for them to keep a record for who had paid what and what gas and electricity providers we had, not to mention whether or not the previous tenants had finished paying all their bills.
Aside from all these problem with there general services all year, the icing on the cake had to be yesterday when I travelled up from Leeds to move into our new house and get rid of Charles Lamb.
We arrived expecting to find our new house keys on the coffee table of the current house where my friend had left them (still paying for the house at this point). Howeverx nit only had the keys been taken by charles lamb despite there being a note which clearly stated they weren't for them, they were closed on Sunday so there was no way to move into my new house. To make matters worse, I rang their emergency number to which so angry Geordie bloke answered the phone and told me to 'f* off'.
I am just so angry with their general incompetency, is seriously don't think they are capable of doing anything right.
I would strongly advise to stay well away, and I will post this article all over the Internet until students of Newcastle begin to realise they are notoriously bad estate agents.
