We listed with Emoov in February and accepted an offer within 1 week. I was originally wary about going with an internet estate agent with payment upfront as i worried that without a cash incentive we would struggle if the sale hit difficulty. We were the middle house in a chain of 5 and our experience was horrendous, lasting 20 weeks.
My original fears however were mis-founded, with all the other estate agents in the chain being typical high street agents working towards a commission, their efforts and customer focus was dwarfed by Emoov, and in particular Jodie.
I first got in touch with Jodie around 6 weeks into the sale when we started to hit problems, when it transpired that our buyers had yet to commence surveys. Jodie managed this impeccably and really put pressure on the buyers solicitors. 12 weeks in, it transpired that the buyers purchased their home through Help to Buy, and because of this required a special survey in order to sell (c3-4 weeks). Jodie again was fantastic, helping us with contact details of solicitors and housing option people so we could apply pressure. 16 weeks into our sale, just as contracts were to be exchanged ... it transpired that the person at the bottom of the chain had yet to apply for a mortgage. At this point i was at the early stages of a breakdown, the top of the chain pulled out and my seller was making me feel extremely guilty on a daily basis.
Jodie at this point, as well as being an agent, adopted the role of councillor. she communicated several times a day with me, chased all parties in the chain daily and to be honest really helped me through it. The week of exchange, Jodie came into her own and managed the entire process on behalf of all parties in the chain and their respective agents and solicitors.
I genuinely can't speak higher of Jodie and the staff at Emoov. I can honestly say, the 20 week sale was one of the worst periods of stress in my life and one that i never want to relive, however a part of me is thankful for it because i met Jodie. Jodie, for me, is special, i've never had service like that and doubt it will be paralleled Jodie cared, she worked hard for what was right and was there for me whenever i needed her, for whatever purpose. Sometimes, i would just message Jodie to rant, and she was simply amazing, calming me down and saying things to make me feel better.

Jodie is an absolute credit to Emoov. Whilst i think Emoov strive to break the traditional model of estate agency, Jodie smashes the role of estate agent and for me, has completely reinvented it.

Its been an absolute pleasure dealing with Jodie to the point i actually miss it a little bit. I owe her a lot, mainly my sanity and i could never repay the level of help she gave me.

Plus, to top it off , she sent me sweets when it finally went through, as well as calling me excited down the phone. She's a true star

Wow. Thank you so much for your thoughts on how emoov handled your sale, particularly Jodie. Yes, she is an absolute star. Sorry to hear that the move was stressful due to issues elsewhere in the chain but sounds like Jodie mitigated the anguish somewhat.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
