An absolutely shockingly bad company - email below sent and marked as urgent. Funnily enough not responded to.
A previous email went unanswered for three weeks and was only eventually answered when it was resent three times since that date! If ever I call the office, the member of staff i need is always in a meeting, is this because he knows he might actually have to answer some difficult questions?!
This company are a shambles - I have escalated my email to a manager but surprisingly, no response....
Gordon and Co. are happy to allow building to be unsafe - AVOID AVOID AVOID....
I wish to complain about the poor service we, as residents are receiving from this company.
As I have stated in my previous emails, the building is in a general state of disrepair with marks in the walls, rotting external window frames, no access to the communal tap or meter cupboards, split wood on the communal internal window frames, rotting communal front door and most importantly unsafe decking on balconies. If, as a management company the address was actually visited, these concerns would no doubt, I hope, be noted and actioned.
We, the residents are paying large sums of money to your company and are seemingly gaining nothing in return other than for the carpet to be vacuumed once per week. That equates to a great wage for a cleaner!
It is your responsibility as the management company to monitor the safety of a building and action things that require attention. It is not my responsibility to manage/maintain the building and report back to you. I suspect the building has had no repairs carried out on it since it was built 12 years ago - certainly the rotten window frames and decking have had NO attention whatsoever.
On 7th May I raised a question regarding the balconies and whether they made up part of the building. I was informed by you that they made up the building rather than the individual residences and they are therefore maintained by Go and Co. On this note, my balcony is unsafe.... I live (own with a mortgage) with my young daughter and we are often outside on the balcony. The decking boards are rotten and although I noted damage when I bought the property, over the months this has got gradually worse, so much so, that I have now had to rearrange my furniture to prevent one of us putting our foot (or worse) through the decking. You have to agree that this is dangerous and needs repairing/replacing.
I am inclined to repair/replace the decking myself on a like for like basis. However, as it make up the building my costs for materials and labour will be deducted from the next 6 monthly bill which is no doubt on its way.
Comment on agent fees
management fees are an absolute joke

I am very sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the service you have received. In order to address the issues that you have raised, I will need to know a little more about your property as we manage a lot of properties around the UK.
Would you mind letting me know the name of the building you are living in and the office that you are usually in contact with and I will get to the bottom of this as soon as I can.
I sincerely apologise for the lack of response and I will do my best to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. I acknowledge all the issues that you have raised and it will be our priority to find out who has not been getting in touch with you. This is not how we conduct our business as we pride ourselves on our customer service. Clearly we have underperformed which we will address internally immediately. Again, we are very sorry.
Kind regards
Gordon & Co.
