I have rated the agency an excellent rating, based solely on the efforts and commitment of Danielle. to be honest, I was significantly disappointed to arrive on a saturday with a property not ready to move in and unfortunately Danielle was not in the office. the other membders of staff i dealt with left me feeling dismissed, and palmed off, with little commitment to resolve the issues at hand - despite me stressing that i was fasting and having no use of a refridgerator in the heat we were having was unacceptable. Once danielle was back in the office though, there was a significant step change, and despite it taking an additional two days for a cleaner to arrive, danielle won me over purely through good communication and keeping me appraised. I have worked in lettings myself and i appreciate things do not always go to plan, but the key is not to further aggravate and alienate a customer who is already stressed out. Danielle is a role model for her colleagues to follow and I am reassured with her being at the branch.
Comment on agent fees
I feel the fees are very high, expecially when i consider how poor the inventory check was - it would be a better option to attend the property with a tenant at the start of the tenancy and ask yourself "would i move in to this place in its current form" if you can answer yes, then there would be no dispute. allow the tenant to take their own photos with you present. I still do not understand how a company anywhere else in the country can perform the same service and charge half the fees of someone in london, when most reference agencies etc are national or online based anyway, so it cannot be a geographical issue!
