After a very negative experience with a well known estate agent in the area Igloo were a dream to work with. Igloo gave realistic valuations and advice whilst positively working to do their best for you as opposed to telling you what you wanted to hear.

We dealt mainly with Craig but when he was out of office there were no delays or breaks in communication as someone else in office would keep us up to date or respond to our calls. Communication was second to none both via email and phone which was helpful if we were at work and couldn't call.

There was no pressure from Igloo when we got an offer lower than what we were looking for. Igloo didn't just encourage us to accept an offer to get a sale (even though they pride themselves on their sales timescales which are better than most other estate agents). They encouraged us and took our lead and negotiated with the buyer. Igloo discussed other options with us such as renting if we wanted to take a break from selling so we didn't have to accept a lower offer than we really needed.

Igloo took an interest in who we are and what was going on in our lives. They definitely have the personal touch and we didn't just feel like a number to them.

We had regular reviews with Igloo to see how the interest had been on the house and discuss tactics for improving the interest such as changing photos and adjusting offers over price. Igloo don't just advertise your house and leave it, they pay attention and work to sell it for you for the price you are looking for.

We had some issues with legal paperwork and felt two other companies we were dealing with weren't communicating and weren't on top of things. When we informed Igloo they stepped in and liaised with them on our behalf. They arranged for any additional information that was needed and took lead to get things sorted. It would have taken so much longer to resolve without their help and would have been way more stressful!

I couldn't recommend Igloo highly enough!
Comment on agent fees
After having a very poor experience with another well known estate agents in the area we complained but only received part of our upfront fee as a refund. Igloo were very understanding and used the home report we had with first estate agents to save us money and worked out their best price for us so we weren't really out of pocket as a result of the poor service from the other estate agents and our decision to change estate agents. Fees were clear so we could budget. No hidden costs.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Complaints Procedure

In the first instance any concerns should be raised with our office manager. If you are not entirely satisfied at this stage, you can write to our company directors who will respond personally to your concerns.
We are also members of the Property Ombudsman for both sales and lettings
