They just want money in the bank. Charges are highest in the market and appear to be for things nobody else charges. When signed the contract we were not human any more. Service was horrible from that moment on. I had to wait 5 hours! for them to agree to accept my husbands signature electronically before releasing the keys. Last minute after we were already committed they announced us that we can't attend check in and need to sign a document saying we are happy about it - I didn't agree to sign. The check in report had picture so small and unclear that all the damages were not seen, so I had to contact 'Shelter and us how to deal with it, because it was clear that they will be looking for money from us at the end of contract. We than took pictures of the whole property and prepared our own check in report - all in the first week while trying to settle in the property! We sent it to them and never heard anything about it.
We had a name as property manager - Laura Whittington, any time I contacted her I think I spoke to a wall, she simply did nothing. There was no communication what so ever from her.
I needed a monthly receipt for my tenancy so she announced that it costs £10 each month to write a receipt!!! but never wrote them without 10 telephones from me.
Now we left the property and they got a new way of getting money - not releasing the deposit. The landlord didn't respond, they don't chase just told me to open a dispute which is going to take me few months now to clear and in the meantime my money is in their account gaining interest for them!
Worst ever agency I have seen. Avoid if you can!

Terrible letting agent. New landlord bought the flat I'm in in Jewellery Quarter Birmingham, Accord instructed their agent Countrywide to slap me with a Section 13 to increase my rent by 17%, which they cannot do due to a clause in my contract, which they clearly haven't bothered reading.. and they're now "consulting with their legal team" to see "if the landlord can do this".. might they have consulted with their legal team before causing me all this stress??? They've absolutely set a new low s ...
