my son had rented a ground floor. On collecting the keys he was told by the agents that they had a problem with the letterbox and he should try it. He told them he could not access it and it has taken over 3 weeks to rectify. The door locked us in from the inside when we arrived and we had to climb out through the window. Reported to Boydens. Landlord said it must be my sons fault and lock had not been replaced. It is a town centre ground floor flat with no window locks. We queried this as you cannot sleep with any windows open and the landlords response was we have never had a break in so I wont fit them .I suppose on this basis he does not have car or like insurance then. We asked if we could fit locks at our expense and have had no response in 3 weeks. The flat has a TV ariel point but it dosnt work. Landlord blames previous tennant but will not fix it. It appears Boyden are oK if you are a landlord but as a tennant they are quite happy to take the money but will not provide a service. This review is submitted as a landlord myself letting out my property through a reputable letting agency

Absolutely awful. I could go into massive detail but I don't have the time to waste on a company like Boydens. Rats in the house.....complain to Boydens.................get chucked out. Pest controller report is attached as proof. NEVER HAVE ANY DEALINGS WITH BOYDENS. OR ...

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
