From the off the staff at Connells are pushy and arrogant. We only contacted them to look at a house they were selling and were pressured into a meeting with the branch manager to 'see what he could do for us' in terms of selling our house (we are currently listed with another estate agent)
To be fair he had some helpful advice on how to price effectively in terms of where your ad will appear on Rightmove, and on limiting the amount of pictures to 8, just enough to entice people to book a viewing (though interestingly this rule doesn't seem to apply to any of the houses they currently have listed) Unfortunately he thought the best way to convey this information to me was to tear our advert to shreds, berate me for the choices I had made, and slag off every other estate agent in the area. It was unbelievably unprofessional, and the guy was literally dripping with arrogance. When we shook hands and it was the sweatiest hand I've ever had the misfortune of shaking. I still shudder to think of it.

I commented that the photos on the house were extremely misleading ¢â‚¬â€œ the use of wide angled lenses had artificially stretched the rooms, and had we seen a realistic picture, probably wouldn't have wasted time viewing the house. His reply was that all they really care about is getting viewings in, presumably this makes it look as though they are earning their money. I asked what was the point in getting 30 viewings if no one wanted to buy the house. I let him bumble and ramble on for a bit, which was fairly entertaining. He eventually told me we were chalk and cheese and would never see eye to eye, and hung up on me.
Good riddance.

Called 3 times asking to view a house. Each time being told how busy they were and going to call me back,. On my 3rd call I was told there are better bigger houses than the one I’m interested in and were going to email me with the details…no email or call. I’ve now given up. They are uninterested and unprofessional. How they sell houses I’ll never know. I feel sorry that there are clients missing out on viewings! Very poor ...
