I've rented a 2 bedroom flat in Craigmillar for a little over a year (March 2014 - May 2015). The property was well kept and with the bay windows facing south, the place was very bright. Overall the property was well maintained and a lot of inventory was already present. The only downside when moving in was that the flat was very dusty and it took me a little longer moving in as some additional cleaning needed to be done.
Over the year some issues came up with the boiler and some small maintenance jobs needed to be done. Mark and the team at Southside were extremely responsive and an email always followed up with instructions to other parties what will be done when. I found this very helpful to know when other people are entering the flat. After works the flat was always left clean and tidy. I really found this a very positive point.
From the moment we cancelled our rent to actually moving out, many viewings were arranged for other possible tenants. I must say, I did not mind it too much, however, it would have been preferred if there were less visits and more people visiting at the same time. That's the only point preventing me from giving a 5 star review.
Leaving the flat went smooth too and once all matters were sorted regarding bills and the final check-out, Mark was very quick in following up and returning the deposit via LPS.
If anyone asks me to recommend them a letting agency, I would definitely suggest Southside Property management to them.
