DO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENTS. Only do if you want to get any shred of your deposit back, all your issues with the property ignored and rude staff. Me and 2 friends (all students) rented a property with Amber in 2013-14 and I regret ever even walking in to their office. The house was not in good condition, the usual painting all over the damp patches to disguise the condition when viewing sadly fooled us as damp was a massive problem from shortly moving in (of course we were blamed for). We were also infested with mice, which once again completely our fault, nothing to do with the fact there are gaping holes in the walls where you can actually see outside through them! Our bed frames were literally held together by shoelaces and string which was actually noted down as some sort of feature piece when doing the initial inventory yet nothing done about it. The bedframes of course broke, which we were actually chared for! The wardrobes were already broken, yet we were charged for those too, any general wear and tear like little scratches on the cheap desks we were charged ‚£20 amongst over ridiculous things. When asked for receipts for the apparent work and replacement of beds and wardrobes they ignored emails, when chased up again apparently the landlord had a death in the family so they couldnt provide them, then chased again and no reply. I genuinely believe they did nothing as everything was broken/damaged when i moved in so why would they replace them for anyone else? It took them months to give us a hoover that worked as the original one was broken which the landlord was determined to try and fix himself but actually did nothing. The ceiling fell through in the kitchen, actual massive gaping hole as the bathroom was leaking through for months and they did nothing about it, it could have really hurt someone if anyone was in the room at the time. Just an overall horrible experience dealing with lazy, money grabbing useless people and I would tell any student considering them to go to anywhere else. I could go on for hours, don't trust them.

how fast did you get your deposit back? did they wait it out for a bit I've been waiting since september..... its now the end of february. the house we had, had huge cracks in the ceiling in the kitchen above was the bathroom you could clearly see the ceiling sagging under the weight of the bathroom. they said that they couldnt do anything about it until we had moved out. the boiler was absolutely god awful. the oven was faulty, 2 out of 4 of the hobs didnt work. the washing machine leaked twice ...
