Copes Estate Agents is the worst I have ever dealt with. And having worked at an estate agents' office in the past, I find Copes to be the worst of the worst.
I have lived in rented accommodation in Grays, Essex for the past 3years and on every occasion that I have contacted Copes as a result of advertised properties, I am always informed that someone would call me back. This happened last year before I gave up and contacted another estate agent in the area.
I am trying to move home at the moment and they are unsurprisingly doing the same thing again. The lady I spoke with said the magic words ¢â‚¬â€œ ¢â‚¬Å“SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU BACK¢â‚¬Â.
Visiting their office doesn't make much difference; they will tell you to have a look at their website if you wish to rent a property.
I am deeply disappointed that an estate agent can be as incompetent as this but I do hope this review will be wake-up call!..
What agent could do to change your mind?
When a prospective tenant responds to an advert, Copes need to be proactive and return calls as promised!!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Complaints Procedure

Complaints ProcedureLettings Complaint Procedure 1. Please raise your complaint with the property manager or sales advisor that is handling your case. 2. If the sales advisor / property manager cannot resolve the issue for you then please put your complaint in writing addressed to the Lettings Manager for that particular branch. 3. We will acknowledge to your complaint in writing within 5 working days. We will also start a full investigation. 4. In line with The Property Ombudsman guidelines a full written outcome will be sent to you within 15 working days. 5. If you are not satisfied with the full written outcome response from the Branch Manager you can write to theManaging Director. They will then respond to you with a statement of the final view of the matter within 15 working days of receipt. 6. If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you can raise your complaint with the: The Property Ombudsman Milford House 43-55 Milford Street Salisbury Wiltshire SP1 2BP 7. When you have raised a complaint with The Property Ombudsman they will write to us as agents requesting our Property File and our version of the events.
