I had fairly low expectations of using any estate agent from several past experiences but I am an optimist and so hoped for better. However, I would say on the whole the service I received was pretty average, except towards the end of the process, when Gail did appear to be trying to speed things up. The first viewings I had with this estate agent, for other properties were poorly conducted. I can't remember the names of the staff I saw or in one case was supposed to see as they didn't turn up, think it may have been someone called Dave, but not sure, but in one case I had travelled up from Guildford to view a property in a village only to arrive to see a sold board up, no one in and no agent there. I rang and spoke to Karen in their office to be told they had the wrong property down for me, a house well over my price range. She was apologetic but it was a complete waste of my time and petrol.
There were quite a few problems with the ownership of the bungalow I was buying which I felt should have been spotted and sorted before marketing. The owner had links to the estate agent and this seemed to slow things down rather than speed them up. The conveyancing for the seller was also done through TM and again a very slow, poorly communicated process, although I would say my solicitor wasn't much better. The second viewing of the property I bought was taken with someone too disinterested to even say good morning or introduce themselves. Again, it was on a Saturday and I felt she just was just bored with the whole process and couldn't answer any of the questions I put to her. Simply told me to speak to Gail on Monday. Gail became fairly proactive towards the end of the process but I do feel this was motivated by the commission rather than interest in me as a buyer. All in all, I felt TM are probably the same as most of the agents I have used, with the exception of Seymours in Guildford who were extremely professional and efficient. If I have to move at any point in the future I would prefer it not to be with TM.

Thank you very much for the detailed review of your experiences with the St.Neots branch. I have spoken with the team and they have confirmed to me that the details of your review are accurate.
I can only apologise that, in this instance, we do not appear to have dealt with you and your requirements in the way we should have. We appear to have fallen very short of our normally high standards and for that I apologise. I can only hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to demonstrate to you how good our service levels normally are.
Thank you again for bringing the matter to our attention in such a detailed and courteous manner - it really is appreciated.
