As I was the executor for my late fathers estate I had four estate agents quotes in total and settled on McQueens after our meeting with Kerry. Not because McQueens were the cheapest, because they weren't but because of the following. From the outset we were very comfortable with Kerry and how how she explained the process, using terms that were easily understandable and at no point did we feel any element of 'hard sell' which I can't say about the others that gave us quotes. She was realistic and upfront with costs and gave an honest appraisal of the current market and what we could hope for in terms of the house sale. When the final invoice arrived there were no nasty surprises or hidden extras. I really do feel we have received a first class service from McQueens in general but our sincere thanks go to Kerry and Julie who were both able to deal with any of my many queries in a friendly, efficient and hassle free way
Comment on agent fees
The fees were explained up front and the final bill reflected these. An unnamed competitor quoted us at over ‚£5000 and failed to include VAT, when i did the calculations on their prices the final bill would have been in excess of ‚£7k based on the sale price. I put all his figures intom a spreadsheet and emailed my findings back to him and asked for clarification.....i'm still waiting on a reply
