Early impressions very positive, house put on market on a Friday and shown to a number of prospective buyers over the weekend. On the Monday a firm offer of the full asking price with no chain was received and accepted. As we live well over 100 miles from the property being sold we were impressed by the regular updates supplied and confirmation that the property was being checked on a weekly basis as we had requested.
As time went on a query arose from the buyer's solicitors as to the ownership of a narrow strip of land which fortunately we were able to supply relevant information to our solicitors to enable them to take issue with the Land Registry and subsequently have the matter resolved.
However, obviously this delayed exchange by a number of weeks and although this whole issue was no fault of Cricketts we did feel that they did not fully appreciate the situation and continued to assure us that exchange of contracts and completion would still take place within the original time-frame when of course we realized that this would not be the case. In fact we have exchanged contracts today some seven weeks after the original proposed completion date.
Overall, we do feel that they delivered a good standard of service with very polite and helpful staff who always responded quickly to any queries and concerns that we had and therefore we would have no hesitation in recommending them as a very pro-active estate agent'
Comment on agent fees
We agreed the fee rate at the outset on an exclusive agent basis and therefore have no reason to query the fees charged.
