We are currently in the process of selling with Miller Hendry. They first of all said that we could expect an unrealistically high price for our house. Then when we pointed out there was a credit crunch and that other similar properties had sold for less they swiftly changed their mind. The are also really disorganised when arranging access to our house for surveys etc. They haven't confirmed arrangements so we've both had to take time off work that we didn't need to. And finally, today, they let a potential buyer get away by not confirming by not following up when they cancelled their initial arrangement and offering to arrange another. We haven't even been offered a for sale sign yet. The property market in Perthshire is traditionally very lively and didn't suffer the previous crash. However it's all catching up and the estate agents seem to be trying to keep business as usual.
