We are going through a nightmare. We came day before yesterday to Aberdeen and now we practically have nowhere to live. The flat we were given is a hole with bugs, fungus, mold and drafts penetrating the place. We were advised to "wipe the walls with domestos and leave the flat during the weekend to air it". They did not even offer any substitute place to stay (fortunately we got a room for a week to stay, otherwise we'd have to spend the night under a bridge or somewhere). They lied about the flat on their webpage, they lied in our faces that there is no mold or fungus or bugs making us feel like idiots, left to our own devices.
We are first year students from abroad at Gordon University and we don't really know what to do. We sent a letter of complaint today, and we're planning to go to the police, city council, anywhere. If you know what we could do or you could help us in any way we would be very grateful!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Terrible service, arrogant, rude.
