Salter Rex have been our managing agents for as long as I have owned the flat, and have consistently been bad at managing the building. They are difficult to contact, do not take responsibility for anything, do not act in the interest of the lessees and are extremely negligent in their approach. We recently spent a large sum of money to repair the property only to find out that the issues have come back. Salter Rex have taken minimal action to rectify and now will not respond when contacted. The situation is so bad that all the lessees have decided to buy the freehold collectively (another massive payout) just to own the right to get rid of Salter Rex as a managing agent.
Please do yourself a favour and do not use Salter Rex in any capacity whatsoever.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Hire staff that are good at what they do and care about their clients rather than chasing the money. Act responsibly and professionally. Have penalties in place for contractors that fail to deliver. Improve their communication with their clients. Offer a refund on service charges when mistakes are made.

Salter Rex charge ‚£1400 a year per flat to manage the building. They also charge 10-15% on top of repairs for managing fees which add to the overall cost and do not provide value for money.
