We wanted to rate this company with zero stars but were unable to... Absolute Residential? Absolute Nightmare! We were under the impression that we were renting a flat with a reputable company but it turned out that the letting agent runs the business from a PO BOX. On day of entry we had requested repairs to be carried out but these were never done and the flat was extremely dirty although we had been informed it had been professionally cleaned. The "maintenance men" could not speak English and would let themselves into your flat without notice, it took several phone calls and threatening letters to get the FAULTY boiler serviced and we also we had to request that a carbon monoxide detector be fitted in the flat. These are only a few of the problems we encountered, the agent comes across as very professional and on the ball, but in reality he ignores letters and phone calls about issues within the flat and takes no responsibility for anything. If you ever come across an Absolute Residential property, do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs! These are a bunch of cowboys and should not be trusted.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have responded to phonecalls and letters promptly and addressed our issues rather than ignoring them.Attached Filesnbsp;

I completely agree with the above comment. We moved in to our current flat a year ago and requested our windows be replaced as they leak water constantly and don't fit properly in the sills making it very cold in winter. We have to have a bucket under them at all times - not a good look! Again we have contacted the letting agents REPEATEDLY about this through email and phone calls and have even told environmental health about it but NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. It would actually be funny how bad they are if it wasn't such an inconvenience to our lives. They genuinely ignore emails and phone calls and I'm astounded that the business is still running - they are completely incompetent. Again, the guy who showed us round the flat seemed helpful and genuine but we have since discovered he is lazy and will tell you anything to get you off the phone. These are only two of a HUGE amount of issues I have with this flat and these letting agents. I would strongly recommend any prospective tenants to avoid avoid avoid!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
