I wish I had read this before using them to lease out my flat. In total I am probably around ‚£2300 out of pocket due to their incompetence.
I had a tenant that only wanted to stay for 6 months. She paid 6 months upfront and clearly stated that she would be leaving after this. She was not told that she had to give a notice period and there was no reminders or contact with her to tell her she would need to. 1 month after she had already moved out (I was not aware of any of the above and following, only found out as I have contacted the tenant direct and got her side of the story) she finally got an email through saying she owed rent. She replied saying that she had already told them she had moved out and would not be paying rent. Aberdein Considie failed to tell me this and assured me that they would chase up rent and I would receive it. The flat stayed empty and I had to pay out the mortgage myself for 3 months.
There was barely any contact from Aberdein considine.
I told them after the first month to terminate the contract and to get my deposit back. They did not do this and did not try and find any other tenants. I am still waiting on my deposit 4 months on. I have also just received a ‚£360 bill which they are charging me for when the flat was empty??
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
I have since moved companies and can't believe I put up with Aberdein Considine for so long.

Our team can be reached on 0333 00 44 333. We answer 99% of calls coming in to the department and 60% of those in under 20 seconds, so there should be no issues in getting hold of someone in the department. ...

I am inclined to agree with the negative comments. Mine relate to the Aberdein Considine factoring service (which occasionally brings the maintenance dept into play). AC have been my factor for many years in Aberdeen and there hasn't been a year go by when their service has been negligent in some respect and their bills inaccurate.
