Seldom have I come across such an inferior customer service as the one received from this Estate Agent whose poor attitude I received from both their Associate level and member of staff level which I feel ought to be noted.
Despite paying a high-end monthly rental, I had many maintenance issues with the property which had to be duly taken up with this agent. Many of my emails were ignored and only after my repeated persistence or by contacting one of the Associates, were they eventually responded to. Invariably, matters were only dealt with after considerable protraction and repeated requests for action.
In my experience there is clearly a serious lack of basic good manners and appropriate courtesy extended towards their clientƒÂ¨le.
Outrageously at the end of my 'outstanding and exemplary' tenancy (as described in their two inspections) they decided to withhold a major part of my deposit monies on behalf of the owners for an absurd claim regarding weeds left in the garden. I took this laughably foolish claim to the Ombudsman and thankfully sensibleness and decency prevailed; it was thrown out and all of my money returned to me.

I recommend to the owners/board of Walker Singleton Letting Agents, Halifax to take heed from your customers' reviews (we are, after all the reason you are in business) and work towards a major improvement of the current bad form, bad manners, bad service and the bad attitude to be found from Associate level downwards. Until that happens I would caution any would-be tenants to beware of using Walker Singleton Letting Agents, Halifax,
What agent could do to change your mind?
Notwithstanding improving response to clients' problems and issues, simple basic courtesy and pleasant attitude would go a long way in improving the service of this firm.

I believe that these letting agents (as with so many other agents), unscrupulously take advantage of tenants by the excessive costs of their fees for credit checking.
