I would warn anybody against renting with this branch. We moved out of a flat at the end of July and the landlord has still not returned any of our deposit. Granted, there were minor cleaning issues, but giving a flat a quick clean does not take over 4 months! When we moved in it certainly didn't look like any cleaning had been done before our arrival, the bathroom tiles in particular was covered in grime.

We have frequently attempted to contact the landlord, however the property management company who work with Bridgfords claim he is reluctant to do so which raises our suspicions as to why its taken so long to get our deposit back.

I would never use any Bridgfords branch again after this experience as they seem happy to deal with dodgy landlords who unfairly withhold your deposit.

Plus, the staff at this branch did not inform us that they had no key for the property for viewings and blamed us for not being at the property for viewings. We had already started to move out and was impossible for us to return just for viewings. When we had viewed the property a year prior, the staff member had a spare key when nobody was in. It would look as though that they had lost they key and kept it quiet from us and were banking on us to be available for the viewings to cover their mishap.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have done the job properly, as the amount of money we paid to them was large enough to justify a better treatment. As the agency did not fulfill with their job, we should be at least partially refunded.
