We got asked to leave the rental property at the end of the tenancy after the landlord changed their mind so extending the notice by an extra month giving us till November 2014, which we were grateful for as we were panicking about finding another property to move into. With numerous emails going back and forth to Jordan's, keeping them informed of our progress which they asked us to do, we asked a simple question that 'if' our new house was ready for October would the landlord be OK if we moved then or did they want us to stay till November? Mary confirmed that would be OK. A week later I email Mary stating that our new house will be ready at the end of November so we'll will need the rental house till the agreed time, end of November. Mary came back to me saying the landlord is now not happy that we've changed our mind as we said we'd be out in October. I purely asked a question didn't at all say we would be out in October, so Mary had obviously cocked up, which left us in a very serious situation. Jordan's said we had until the 5th November to move out, we were currently on holiday when we got this news so you can imagine we were very upset and distressed as there's nothing you can do when your abroad. Also how were two full time workers supposed to move house on a week day, impossible, which is what I went back with. We tried everything to try and sort Jordan's mess out but all through this whenever I had to speak to Mary on the phone she was very abrupt and unprofessional as she repeatedly shouted at me trying to say this wasn't their fault but it clearly was. I ended up contacted head office as I felt bullied by Mary so didn't want to deal with her anymore. Spoke with a lovely lady who tried to calm the situation and help in every possible way. We couldn't stay in the rental as the landlord was moving her son in on the 7th November but we eventually came to the agreement that we would move into my mums on the 8th November if Jordan's sorted storage costs as we had no spare cash. Then I had awful trouble trying to get the storage cost from them but eventually after three weeks of moving out I had the deposit and storage cost paid.
Wanted to make anyone that's thinking of renting from this branch aware as I had an awful experience and will not be recommending them.
