I moved in as a tenant as was very happy initially at the service that was offered when looking around the Capital Living properties. However, when it came to general maintenance, CL fell down. Jobs were being said were complete when they weren't, and problems continued. When it came to my contract and initial 6 months being up I got an email saying that if I wanted to renew please contact. Having tried to contact Richard for more than 10 days I then got a second email saying that they were upset I wouldn't be renewing and that I would have to move out within the month....After further hours of arguments and staying on the phone I was then finally renewed with a lovely £50 charge. I found the service to be terrible. Furthermore, paying the amount you do, I was surprised that my room suffered from damp. When I told this, the only thing that happened was it was painted over, not repaired.
Overall, for the convenience CL are fine, anything more and they are a nightmare who really need to improve their customer service. If they want to be this elite letting agency they have a long way to go. Would not recommend them for anything more than a short stay.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Better customer service
organisation on people moving in and out of the property
repairs that are actually repairs, not cover ups
transparency of costs

Comment on agent fees
For what it is a single room, with a shared bathroom between 4 and a kitchen between 6 it is over priced.
