APPALLING SERVICE
We used Hunters in Pudsey to sell our property. During our dealings with them the levels of service were appalling. Mismanagement and total lack of communication resulted in us attending the office to try and resolve the issue.
while at the office we were shown on their system an internal memorandum made after my had called to discuss and offer on our property with them. In this note, the member of staff at hunters had used insulting language towards my wife.
We were shown this due to the manager not having read the note prior to our arranged meeting. since this insult, hunters have attempted to deny any wrongdoing, and are still demanding their full fee.
This is despite their own managing director Glynis Frew admitting the insult, but being unwilling to take action. and a initial ruling from the ombudsmen in our favour. After this ruling the Ombudsmen demanded they make a goodwill gesture, which they promptly did, which was they demanded the full price and are now demanding interest?
i have since this ruling also asked on what specific date they are intending to try and charge interest, to which they have continually refused to reply.
So whatever you do, do not use this service, the service is not just bad it is disgusting. I have never dealt with a more rude and obstructive organisation. and they have no concern for what service they provide once you have signed an agreement, as once signed they then see themselves as having a legal right to be paid regardless of anything they do or you say.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have tried apologising in the first instance, rather than first ignoring it, and then apologising for us having reading it, as it was intended for us, as if it was fully okay for them to write insulting language about their customers as long as they didn't show them?
since then they could have some regard to what customer service is and tried to resolve the matter, instead of trying to bully us.

Comment on agent fees
They refused to even try and achieve the minimum value they set for the house, and they expect a full fee,knowing that that left their customers in a bad position.
demanding interest, without providing details, and while the matter is being reviewed by the the Property Ombudsmen, instead of waiting for the complaints process to finish. disgusting as we are not refusing to pay, so are not in default, merely not paying until we know the outcome of the complaint they failed to deal with themselves?
