The property was left in a deplorable state by the previous tenant which you managed. So I don't know what level of inspection/ property management went on during his twelve month tenancy.
The place was filthy and there was damage that he had been caused whilst he was in occupancy. Despite the fact that I made reference to this on several occasions, nobody at Brimelows seemed to assume any responsibility. I always seemed to be dealing with several people who seemed to change from week to week.
Amazingly you continued to show prospective tenants around throughout August/ September/October, when basically the place wasn't fit to let. I wasn't surprised when no offers were forthcoming. It took you two months to get a cleaner in. I had to have the whole place decorated from top to bottom at my expense and only last week did you manage to get the damaged window in the bathroom replaced.
So my experience is extremely negative and Brimelows have actually cost me time and money.
I will give you another chance for no other reason than at the moment I'm too busy to look for another agent but I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND YOU.

So far I am undecided on whether I would use again. Perhaps I have been a little new to this too and expected to have been spoken to more. Also I wasn't expecting the initial fee to have vat added leaving me with ƒâ€š‚£164 which was less that anticipated. As mentioned, I expect that today's events are teething problems and as long as my property is looked after and my tenants are happy so am I.

No transparency. The fees were sprung on us last minute and explained away as being necessary for printing a few forms. >ƒâ€š‚£300 for printing a few forms followed by a negligent service that often breached the law.

1. Furnish property as advertised OR reduce rent accordingly. 2. Give 24 hours notice AND/OR ask permission to enter or let people into the property. 3. Acknowledge and admit to mistakes.
