I am new to this website and even though I used Keylet a few years ago when I was a Student at university the horror of my treatment from Keylet stays with me today. This is an honest review and I warn you stay away at all costs or find out the hard way!!. By the time my contract had come to an end I wasn't even bothered they kept my deposit for some made up excuse I was so desperate to get away from them and if I could have afforded to I would have paid to get out of my contract. On another occasion when I wasn't happy with the accommodation that had me in, they moved me into a property on Malefant Street Cathays which was infested with fleas- no lies and when i complained I was told told by Keylet that the landlord had seen me with a dog at the home which wasn't true, I barely afford to feed myself never mind a dog and i never met the landlord, thats what Keylet were for!! Even if true why didn't they terminate my contract- isn't that against the rules?? laughable. But in their defence they did fumigate the house and all my stuff. I got the impression that their goal was to fleece students and fleece me they did and every time I see their sign I'm reminded how little students are protected from people like these. Please do not let your student experience get ruined by these people.

The Keylet website (www.keylet.co.uk) as well as the tenant handbook (which works in conjunction with the tenancy agreement) details everything in respect of the handling and returning of your bond deposit. Keylet is a member of ‘The Dispute Service’ and as such all tenant bond deposits are registered with them for the duration of the tenancy. Whilst Keylet are governed by the rules and regulations of this scheme, tenants are also obliged to fulfill the terms and conditions of the tenancy agreement in respect of all bond refunds.
The Keylet tenant handbook clearly outlines our company complaints procedure. This
states how complaints are handled and a time frame for all responses. In the event that we are unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion over the telephone or in writing then we invite our tenants in to the office for a meeting. Also included within our tenant handbook is a comprehensive list of additional charges that you may incur during the tenancy in the event that you do not adhere to the terms of the agreement.
In addition, Keylet are proud members of ARLA (Association of Residential Lettings Agents). This is a professional membership and regulatory body for letting agents in the UK which promotes set standards in the property industry. Keylet are one of a very limited number of letting agents in Cardiff that are members. All Keylet staff are fully trained and qualified to N.F.O.P.P. level (National Federation of Property Professionals) to ensure we have a competent and knowledgeable team that can provide excellent customer service to both our tenants and landlords. Please refer to www.arla.co.uk for more information.
Keylet take all complaints very seriously and we are disappointed with the content of your review. We would like the opportunity to discuss this with you in more detail. Please contact our Operations Director who will be happy to assist.
Thank you.
Keylet.
