I first met Chris Mervyn of the Mutley Plain branch of Mansbridge & Balment on 16 May 2014 with a view to appointing them to act as my agent following our decision to sell our three bedroomed family home and move to a bigger property, if we could successfully secure a sale. Chris provided me with a comprehensive valuation of the property and comparable sale prices of similar properties in the immediate area. From the outset Chris was friendly, professional, and also had a good overall knowledge of the property market at the time. On Friday 23 May 2014 my property was photographed by Chris and measured by their surveyor and by 3pm the same day the property was being marketed on their website The marketing particulars were excellent and accurate and presented superbly with no delays. Six viewing appointments were subsequently arranged in the following 24 hours. My property was successfully sold at the full asking price by 27 May 2014, just four days later. The sale successfully completed just 8 weeks later on 31 July 2014 and it could have even completed sooner had the sale of the property I was buying not fallen through!! I was able to discuss the progress of the sale with Chris throughout the process and he was particularly helpful with queries raised by my purchaser. Chris also gave me guidance on other properties I was considering purchasing. The property I subsequently ended up buying was coincidentally also being marketed by the Woolwell Mansbridge & Balment office. Both Chris Mervyn and the office manager Darren Lawson were also a fantastic help when the timescales for my sale and my purchase were proving problematical. I was in danger of losing my sale and both Chris and Darren provided me with suggestions for my accommodation arrangements and a practical solution. The friendly, supportive service from Chris I received was excellent and he even made time for me on my sale completion day which I found particularly stressful. I will firmly recommend Chris Mervyn and Mansbridge & Balment at every opportunity as I could not have been happier with their service, They are an outstanding firm who not only achieved a quick sale for me at the full asking price but they also charged a very reasonable agents commission . Thank you very much indeed.
