My wife and I rented a 2 bed flat through choices for just over 3 years. during this time we had 2 children. our 1st was born around Christmas time 2011, and with 3 radiators heating the entire property (2 in the lounge, one in the hallway to heat 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and hallway), the radiator in the hallway broke and it took choices 2 months to fix this.
We had numerous issues with choices including but not exclusive; no calls backs, false information written about us, inspections every 2 months (when they agreed 6 months), refusal to confirm details they had verbally in writing.
Following is an bit of the adjudicators report over our deposit pertaining to choices;
In support of their claim the agents have provided a letter dated 31 July 2012 which says that the tenants failed to give access on 29 June 2014, I am not persuaded by this evidence, as it is not clear which date is incorrect.
This should give some indication as to how inept and incompetent they are.
I would never use these again, and would borderline prefer to be homeless than to give any business to them. I cannot stress enough not to use them.

Exorbitant. In my case, Choices company director emailed that the Office of Fair trading and The Property Ombudsman have asked Choices to agree a fair fee to release clients from the terms of their contract. However, in practice Choices have not set a standard fee for this option, and in my case the fee was exorbitant, but worth every penny as I am so relieved that I no longer have to deal with them.
