This is probably the worst experience of renting a property with an estate agent I have EVER had. The company at the crystal palace branch have been incompetent with pretty much everything. From the start when they tried to convince me that I was talking to an answer machine, after I called on several occasions to book and re book to see one property, 72 thicket road after they failed to book me in the first times. ( I clearly without doubt spoke to a human being) but they tried to con me off with their mistakes instead of just apologizing? Didn't communicate with what documents needed to be sent to them and what was for rent for sure, which delayed the process and didn't get a response if that was the correct thing to do when asking. But this is nothing compared to the phone call received 2 days before we were due to move in to 72 Thicket road, stating that we couldn't move in as there was work being done to the floor, leaving us homeless, not telling us when we could move in, claiming no responsibility having advertised a property that needed months plus work to it. Lying and trying to put the blame on the landlord when its a property managed by streets ahead, not apologizing for leaving us homeless or offering an alternative, oh wait they offered our FULL deposit back... Then deciding to put the flat back on the market without informing us about this, when we still have a deposit down. I understand it was unfortunate that the work needed doing, but they claimed no responsibility for advertising a property that was not fit for habitation, and being incredibly unhelpful throughout most the process. The cherry on the cake was the copy and pasted super friendly email from Billie Blankson which contrasted with her phone manner, requesting me to send a positive review so she could win the company bonus and go on holiday. Unbelievable.

I am obviously very disappointed to read your review, clearly on this occasion the service you have received has simply not been good enough and as branch manager I take your comments very seriously and I would like to sincerely apologies for all the stress and inconvenience this has caused. I will also be investigating the matter internally and making sure these issues don’t happen agiain
