Unfortunately Lucy moved office before we completed on West Lodge, in an ideal
World it would have been nice if she could have been with us till completion as we had built up a good relationship with her. We did have a little bit of a stressful time towards the end as we didn't echange till 2 days before and I think Lucy may have calmed us a little during this time.
The day of the move was extremely tough and the fact that we had to travel to Devon from Reading on probably the busiest day of the year meant that we were very late arriving in Devon - after Fulfords closed - this meant that we had to stop en route to make phone calls to Fulfords office to arrange collection of the keys, which was frustrating as there is no out of office arrangement for collecting keys to what was then our property! We were asked to get a family member or friend pick up the keys but we didn't have anyone in the area. After several calls and time we couldn't afford it was agreed that we collect the keys from a member of staff at another location. This situation must happen occasionally and we feel something should be put in place to avoid the hassle we had on an already stressful day happening again. The keys belonged to us at this point and we asked for them to be left hidden outside somewhere, which would have been ok here as there were lots of places they could be put, this obviously wouldn't work in some places.
