As with all estate agents McAllisters came across as polite and friendly when we were looking round the house. There were however a number of things that did concern us; the house was very cold, we were however assured by McAllisters staff on both occasions we visited that the heating was fine and working and the Seller simply did not use the heating as in their words ¢â‚¬ËœThe Seller was to mean to pay for it'. We were also a little concerned that the Seller was tipping building waste at the rear of the property; we asked McAllisters to ensure this was stopped.
Once we moved into the house it soon became apparent that the former owner could not have heated the house even if he had wanted to as the heating system was broken, this cost almost £200.00 pounds to fix. Thank heaven we moved in August¢â‚¬Â¦..
Even more irritating was the very new and huge piles of dumped building rubbish at the back of the large garden. I would estimate there is 25 to 30 tons of material.
There are also countless other issues which I will not go into.
I have called McAllisters twice to speak to them about these matters on each occasion no senior member of staff was available to speak with and on each occasion no one had the decency or as I suspect the courage to call me back.
While none of this may actually be McAllisters fault in terms of any kind of professional code of ethics and a duty of care they have failed completely.
I for one will never use their services nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have offered to create a floor plan. They could have offered solutions to my query. they could have used my name in reply to my email. They could have replied to the first email so that I didn't have to resend it.Attached Filesnbsp;
