I had interest in a property coming up for Auction in Calne and was being sold through Strakers but there were No photos of the inside of the building on the property advert and so i thought i would phone them and see if i could get a viewing very soon because the auction date was approaching, it was a Saturday. First of all they jumped straight to the point and asked if i had the money to meet the estimated property price after i confirmed this i was told that they were having an open day for an hour and i should pop straight over, i had a few query's about why i would have to give strakers two cheques 2 days before the auction to cover a deposit and auction fees on a property i had not even bid on yet? But these issues were brushed over and dismissed. I got to the property about 20 mins before the end of the open hour and proceeded to knock on the door but it was nit answered after a few minutes a young man came around the building and said i need to enter the property through another property up for auction, can i had that this young man never asked my name,never introduced himself,No hand shake No Hello....nothing!!! He was just plain rude!! He went on to lead me through a large house and through a doorway into the property i had come to view! The property was part of the large house but was being sold and described as a One bedroom house? The straker man bluntly told me that if i was to win the auction i would be responsible for closing off the access door to the larger property. On showing me the outside yard i was shown a shed and told this comes with the property but the surrounding land belongs to the larger house, i asked if there was a garden with the property i had come to view but was rudely told " if there was a garden it would if said in the advert!!!!" i replied that the advert description didn't mention the dirty great doorway that had to be blocked off or the fact the property was part of another house!!! The rude straker man smirked!!!! Is there no toilet or bathroom i asked ....NOPE was the reply!!!!! You really don't give a s...t do you i said....NOPE was the reponse.....i got straight out of there and phoned strakers to complain. I mention they may want to employ people interested in the job and who don't mind working a Saturday...I am fortunate enough to be able to buy a property with cash and this guy has done me a favour really because he represents the company and i really wouldn't want to spend that sort of money with a business like that!!! Never go near anything with strakers brand associated with it again

Employ staff who actually have an interest in the job, there's are just bloody rude

What agent could do to change your mind?
Employ staff who actually have an interest in the job, there's are just bloody rude
