Had a pre Tenancy exchange of emails agreeing that I would rent for the fixed term of 6 months plus about 2 months on Periodic Tenancy - agreed that no further fees were payable for this. This is because I am buying a new build and it is not ready. Basically I find out that Fulfords had no intention of honouring this agreement. I get a letter 4 months in offering me another 6 months fixed term, I remind them about the agreement we have and they ignore me. Basically pay more fees or get out.
No morals, no honour, probably all on commissions for generating fees. Not acting in best interest of the landlord - for example if they churn tenants every 6 months with say 1 weeks void then the landlord over 5 years loses around £2,000 rent but Fulfords gain £5,000 fees!
Landlords and tenants should avoid them.
For balance I have to say the property management team in Heavitree have been very good. They are let down by the money grabbing unethical letting team.
PS I have held back in my criticisms.
